Start with what your application needs
When you search for an official translation, the real goal is to prepare a document you can understand, review and include with your application. LangCertix translates Spanish documents into English only, with signed translator certification and PDF delivery.
We provide official Spanish-to-English translations for documents submitted to USCIS. Our service includes the translator’s signed certification. LangCertix is an independent company and is not a government or USCIS office.
What the federal translation rule calls for
8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) requires a full English translation of a foreign-language document submitted to USCIS. The translator must certify its completeness and accuracy and their competence to translate into English.
Keep your Spanish source, the English translation and the certification together. A translation makes the evidence readable in English; your application’s instructions determine which evidence and document versions you need.
Choose the right files before ordering
Birth and marriage records, divorce documents and other Spanish-language records can contain information relevant to an immigration application. Start with the list for your particular filing, then identify the documents you need translated.
Browse the documents we translate or read our Colombian birth certificate guide. For country-specific background, the Department of State’s civil documents directory is a useful reference. Its visa guidance does not replace instructions for your USCIS application.
Make each upload easy to read
Open the file at a larger size before uploading it. Names, dates, identification numbers and stamps should be readable without guessing. Include the complete document and any reverse side or extra sheet that contains text or annotations.
- Keep related pages together: put them in order and use a file name that helps you recognize the record.
- Check the image: avoid glare, shadows and cropped edges when taking photographs.
- Preserve the original information: do not edit a name or date in the scan to make it match another document.
- Check the language: our service covers Spanish originals translated into English.
If an original record contains a mistake, ask the issuing authority about correcting it. A translation should reflect the source rather than silently change it.
Understand the two parts of your PDF delivery
Your delivery includes the English translation and the translator’s signed certification. Mirror formatting helps you locate corresponding entries in the source and translation, which makes checking a name or date more straightforward.
That layout is a presentation feature of our service. We do not describe it as a USCIS formatting requirement. The certification is a separate statement that accompanies the translation.
Plan the cost and your review time
The base price is $24.97 USD per page, with no word limit. Check your uploaded documents and the order total before payment. Additional options, including an available urgent service, may change the total; review the conditions shown in your order.
Leave time to examine the completed PDF before your filing date. Visit our pricing page for current options and use the delivery information displayed when placing your order.
Review the details that matter to you
Compare names, surnames, dates and numbers with the copy you uploaded. Locate the certification and confirm that the translation covers the document’s pages. If you notice a difference, identify the page and field when contacting us so the issue is clear.
Keep the full delivery with your Spanish record and follow the filing instructions for your case. If you received a request for evidence, first identify the specific document or explanation requested. Translation does not replace that review or determine an immigration outcome.
Separate official requirements from practical tips
The translation requirement above comes from the federal rule. The Department of State directory provides country-based civil document information. Our suggestions for naming, photographing and checking files are practical preparation tips, rather than additional government requirements.
